APPLETON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association has announced further details of its in-person, annual fall clinic.

This year’s event will take place Saturday & Sunday, August 7 & 8, at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton. Times for both days will be 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Demonstrating at this year’s back-in-person event will be Marquette Women’s Head Coach Ryan Theis, UW-Green Bay Women’s Assistant Coach Korey Schroeder, UW-Parkside Women’s Head Coach Leigh Barea, UW-Oshkosh Women’s Head Coach and former WVCA President Jon Ellmann, UW-La Crosse Women’s Head Coach Amber Dunn and UW-L Women’s Assistant Coach Dipen Patel, St. Norbert College Men’s & Women’s Head Coach BJ Bryant, and Howards Grove High School Girls Coach Brett Damrow.

Topics covered will be just as diverse including the fundamentals of ball control and defense, successful serving and passing, blocking and middle work, and setting. Our presenting core will address bad habits and how to correct them, winning from the first contact, ensuring your student-athletes are checked in, and many more specialty topics to be announced at a later time.

Additionally, the WVCA has worked with Badger Region to provide a Boys-focused track (though the skills in these sessions are still incredibly universal). We welcome any and all boys programs to attend this year’s event.

This year’s clinic will coincide with our WVCA Hall of Fame Class of 2021 induction Saturday, August 7. We will honor 12 inductees, all of which have been welcomed to a Hall of Fame Q&A session on Saturday afternoon.

Cost of this clinic is an incredible $200 for an entire staff of up to five coaches for the entire two-day slate. Individual registrants can sign up for two days for $75 per coach. One-day pricing includes $100 for a staff, or $50 for an individual coach.

Overnight accommodations can be made under the WVCA block at the Holiday Inn (1565 Casaloma Dr., Appleton, WI 54913). The host hotel is right across the street from the clinic venue.
