Another quiet week atop the WVCA Coaches Poll

The WVCA Coaches Poll remained relatively steady in Week 5 as it has pretty much all season.

Oconomowoc held off Divine Savior Holy Angels with a championship at the prestigious Lynn LaPorte SPRAWL this past weekend in West Bend as the Raccoons solidified their spot atop Division 1. The Dashers were a near-unanimous No. 2, with Appleton North, Burlington, and Hamilton holding strong in the top five.

Xavier earned a berth in the SPRAWL next season with a runner-up finish at the Play-in in Slinger this weekend to reclaim No. 1 in Division 2. Sauk Prairie distanced itself into the No. 2 spot, ahead of No. 3 Luxemburg-Casco. Pewaukee climbed back into the No. 4 spot, edging Fox Valley Lutheran.

Howards Grove was no surprise at No. 1 in Division 3, but there was some jostling behind the Tigers in Week 5. St. Croix Falls claimed No. 2 for the second straight week, while Randolph rose back to No. 3. Brodhead entered the top five for the first time this season at No. 4, just ahead of one-loss Westby.

Athens earned a pair of solid dual victories this week securing No. 1 in Division 4 for the fifth straight poll. Columbus Catholic and Monticello fell in right behind the Bluejays while McDonell's rigorous non-conference slate held it at No. 4. Prentice re-enters the top five, jumping one spot to No. 5.
