The annual Lynn La Porte Sprawl in West Bend invited some of the state's top squads for a late-season tune-up, resulting in some incredible matchups over the two-day slate.

And, in yet another incredible tournament finale, Divine Savior Holy Angels held onto its unblemished season record with a three-set thriller over Oconomowoc. Both teams assumed unanimous No. 1 and No. 2 positions in the Week 5 Division 1 poll. Appleton North held on at No. 3, while Manitowoc Lincoln and Hamilton each moved up one spot into the top five.

Xavier, who battled Oconomowoc to the brink in the Sprawl semifinal, held onto its unanimous No. 1 spot in Division 2. Fox Valley Lutheran went 5-0 on the week, eking out a No. 2 spot over Pewaukee. The Pirates ran the table at the Sprawl Play-in tournament and moves to No. 3 in Week 5. Luxemburg-Casco falls to No. 4, while McFarland cracks the top five for the first time this year.

Division 3 saw no change in the top five as most top teams took the weekend off. Saint Croix Falls remained at No. 1, ahead of Howards Grove. McDonell Central scored a five-set thriller over Cloverbelt foe Bloomer last week to lock up No. 3 in Week 5, ahead of still-unbeaten Laconia. Lake Country Lutheran edged Barron for the No. 5 spot.

Columbus Catholic was a unanimous selection at No. 1 in Division 4 this week, ahead of Royall who got all it could handle against Scenic Bluffs rival Hillsboro last week. Newman Catholic has steadily risen up the D4 poll all season, edging a pair of Marawood North foes Prentice and Athens among the top five.

On the national scene, the USA Today/AVCA polls released last Thursday have three Wisconsin Teams distinguished. In the AVCA Region 6 poll (encompassing Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin), Divine Savior Holy Angels (No. 1), Oconomowoc (No. 4), and Xavier (No. 10) all cracked the top ten. The Dashers also rank at No. 5 in the AVCA National poll.
