The Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association released its 2025 All-State teams Friday.
All divisions honored a 10-player First Team, with Division 1 adding a 10-player Second Team. Each division also honored a corps of players earning Honorable Mention status. Altogether, 247 girls volleyball players across Wisconsin were represented in this year's All-State awards.
Thirty-seven schools were represented on the Division 1 All-State Teams, led by State Champion Hamilton's (Traci Buhr) seven--including two First Team honorees. Runner-up Divine Savior Holy Angels (Caitie Ratkowski), added five with its own pair of First Team honorees.
Twenty-eight schools harbored a 2025 Division 2 All-State nominee. Several teams had a trio of nominees earn postseason honors, headlined by D2 State Champion Sauk Prairie (Ali Steinmetz) and fellow State qualifier Luxemburg-Casco (Jeff Frey) with a pair of First Teamers apiece.
Division 3 had 25 schools represented on the All-State Team. State Runner-up Watertown Luther Prep (Erin Nottling) led the way with four nominees, including two named to First Team. State qualifier Barron (Brooke Halverson) added two of its own to the First Team, highlighting several schools with three total awardees.
State Tournament qualifiers dominated the Division 4 All-State Teams, led by champion Heritage Christian's (Cindy Ellis) four on First Team and five overall. Runner-up Regis (Liz Anderson) added four overall and three to First Team, as 18 D4 schools earned an All-State honor.
Twenty-one schools appeared on the Division 5 All-State Teams, led by State Runner-Up Newman Catholic's (Betty Lange) two on First Team. No other school had multiple First Team honorees, however State Tournament qualifier Florence (Teresa Chrisman) led the division with four total award-winners.
This year's All-State Committees received more than 400 submissions across all divisions. Every sectional (D1) or half-sectional (D2-5) was represented on each division's specific committee. It is certainly not an easy task to compile these awards, and the WVCA thanks those who committed their time and energy this year.
