SportsEngine will provide new host for WVCA website in 2018

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association announced Thursday, it will enter into a new partnership with SportsEngine for the launch of a new website for the association. The new site will provide the WVCA with added features for stories and content, an integrated network on one website, updated branding and appearance, and a user-friendly interface.

The new website, found at the http://www.wisvca.org domain, is live and accessible as of August 1, 2018.

“The intent of this domain change is to improve the product we can offer our membership,” WVCA Executive Director Jay Messar said. “For the WVCA Executive Council, it should make easier the management of the multitude of registration and nomination forms we compile throughout the year. And with slicker news, photo, and announcement formatting, it will help convey association-wide directives effectively and with a much broader reach.”

More than 1 million teams, leagues and clubs use SportsEngine to run their website, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps. Recently, it has partnered with the Junior Volleyball Association, and renewed its relationship with USA Volleyball as the “Official Tournament Registration and Scheduling Supplier of USA Volleyball” under the Advanced Event System branch of the company.

“SportsEngine’s commitment to improving the sport of volleyball mirrors that of the WVCA,” Messar said. “From the account managers to the design team, everyone has been incredibly helpful in tailoring the new domain to our needs as an organization, and they share our commitment to growing the Association. Ultimately, this is just one, but nonetheless an important tool that we hope will result in increased interest and involvement from our statewide coaches.”

Many of Wisconsin’s high school coaching associations have already made the shift to the SportsEngine platform, including the WFCA (football), WBCA (basketball), WBCA (baseball), WFSCA (softball), WSCA (soccer), and WISTCA (track & field).

“For what is often a non-revenue sport at the high school level, it’s really important to actively get our message out to the masses,” Messar said. “From both internal and external standpoints, this new relationship with SportsEngine should certainly help that.”
