Arrowhead, CMH, Stratford, Clayton remain atop Week 4 poll

Arrowhead continues to impress at the midpoint of the 2018 season, surging to a championship at the 27-team Charger Challenge this past weekend. River Falls, whose loss to the Warhawks in Saturday’s tournament final was just its second since 2016, improved to No. 2 in this week’s Division 1 poll. DSHA fell one spot, edging defending champion Burlington for the No. 3 spot. Waunakee broke through the top five for the first time, coming in at No. 5 in Week 4.

Catholic Memorial has surged to a commanding 23-1 midseason mark, taking home top honors for the third straight week. Little Chute remained unbeaten and flipped places with this week’s No. 3, East Troy, marking the only change within the top five in Division 2. The Lutheran contingency of KML and WISCO continue to build their strength of schedules, coming in at No. 4 and No. 5 again in Week 4.

Stratford makes it four straight weeks at No. 1 in Division 3, still yet to drop a match on the season at 26-0. Aquinas went 4-1 at the always-competitive Diocesan Classic to defend its No. 2 spot, while Lake Country Lutheran hung on to the No. 3 right behind the Blugolds. After battling through arguably the toughest schedule in D3, Waterloo remains steady at No. 4. Saint Mary’s Springs has remained in the shadows in the greater Fox Valley Area, but busted through into the No. 5 spot in its first poll appearance this season.

The question remains—other than River Falls in the opening weekend of the season, can anyone knock off Clayton this season? The Bears take home top honors for the fourth straight week, ahead of Diocesan Classic runner-up Newman Catholic. River Ridge and Randolph each put forth a perfect week, holding true at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Hilbert climbs into the top five for the first time this season with a 16-5 overall mark.
